For me no, but your rates... I don't know the amount of kw your lights use (guessing 1000watts total?) but would $16 a month during peak make a difference in the summer? Actually less than that because you still pay off peak rates if you just shift the photoperiod.

I told my hubby no and he's ok with it. I have my dosers dial in at certain times and I don't want to reprogram again. Not worth the little $$ I'm saving. I spend more on corals and equips and other stuff

I completely understand where he's coming from though, I'm the same way, save where I can.

I completely get it as to why he brought it up, but the savings is not worth it at the end. Between the 2 tanks, I have 7 kessil a360x, 2 6ft Quanta reefcrest, 2 3 ft Quanta meso blue

So I figured out my total wattage. 384w for my 65g. 600w for my 180g. Total of 984w, and kessils ramp up/down and I don't run the 6' quanta that long. My avg water and electric bill for 3500sqft house with 2 girls is less than $300 a month. Summer a bit more because of the landscape

The bigger cosmic is in about 400 par, the other that I think is one is in about 250/275.

The fish frenzy has colored up great, hers's a picture when we got it. I don't think SBB has any left though

Mine came in looking how it does, but also in 400 par. Im guessing since i have a chunkier/older piece yours should color like mine?

Thats awesome with the fish frenzy, i like seeing and posting pics cause it was hard for me to have an idea of what to expect when i was buying them.

It didnt say colored down on the description but it was a chunker for the price so maybe. I wouldnt be mad if it colors like yours.

So some good news. Not going to have to move like I thought in May. Landlord offered to renew lease, albeit at a much higher rate. So definitely anything I buy extra outside of household stuff, I’ll have to definitely get OT. That’s the downside .

Rents been through the roof there for a long while, so even a $500 increase, is alot of someones expendable income but not alot in % of increase of rent. Most states dont offer that protection either.

Im sticking my boat in the water and going fishing at 6am, it will be a cool 70 degrees, may need a windbreaker. God bless you guys in the NE.
