I just dump 1/2 cup per gallon but dont really care of its level...finish up...wait for temp and check salinity and add rodi or more salt if I need
This works great for me. I’m usually mixing 50-60 gallons at a time. Tells me how many pounds of salt to use. Guess you could also do it by volume of salt.

I still do a 1/2 cup at a time. Adding a bunch at once can precipitate it

I noticed my SBB Guilty pleasure is developing different color polyps. It’s getting both orange base polyps and yellow base polyps. I’ll try to get a pic later.
Here is mine. It’s still basing out, but coloring pretty good. Looks like it will have a great circular growth pattern when all those little white branch tips take off.

Pro version but may be switching back to tmp....
I mix pro with blue bucket ~1000 grams pro to 730 grams blue bucket on 10 gallons. Mostly to knock down the alk a little.

I just love that i can start mixing, pump 10 gallons out, and the 10 gallons i just started mixing is fully mixed.

Inbetween pumping out two 5 gallon buckets i let the siphon from display flow into my mixing container to further dilute the higher alk and mix it prior to pumping into sump to round out the process.

I know you werent asking, but this little strategy works great for me.

Nice. Mine isn’t basing out quickly at all.
Something I’ve learned with SBB Tenius. When I first started getting them, I would baby them with moderate light (300-350 PAR). The ones I’ve gotten in the last 4 months, I acclimate them and immediately put them in 400+ PAR. Since I started doing that, they just take off with growth Immediately and maintain or increase their color.

I’m thinking about switching to Radions at the end of the year. Do you still like yours? Did you go XR30 blue?

@billyocean whats your current new build? It looks like were on a similar path im in a 125 and planning for a 96x30x22-24.

I switched over from radion g4s to Reefi unos, may stick a couple radions back up for shadowing but going to hang onto em for when i finally upgrade... or sell them for more unos.

Who'd you have build? I'm looking at Tropical Aquarium Mfg out of Miami, I also plan to plug my livewell and an extra cooler on my boat on the weekends to smuggle water from the ocean into my living room. No shot i'm buying that much salt, I barely do 10 gallons a month as it is.

I love these Uno's, 3 above the 125 with 120 reflectors is giving hell of an even spread. Its crazy how much PAR is coming out even in heavy blues relative to the xr30 g4 on AB+, and they're hardly working. Only real investment I have left is the tank itself and 2 MP 60's. Ill make the stand.

I bought mine used at a steal. Already drilled so that's why I ran plumbing the way I did and had modular marine custom make some overflows. I would have preferred one 72" overflow with returns coming in on the outsides of it but I had to work with what was there. The guy I got it from never set it up and bought it in tampa...no idea who made it...its beastly though.

Yes, still have the 4 XR30 G5 Blues. It’s hard to find a spectrum blend that I like for color when taking pictures, but that just may be my iPhone. Apple tinkered with their camera software and it’s marginal at best now. TSA, WWC and Shane all use radions. If it’s good for them, I’ll stay with them. I definitely can’t complain about the growth I get with them. Plus, I’ve only got them at 50% power and getting 500 PAR across the top Acro’s. They’ve worked really well since I got them.

That’s thing is a beast. And that pic is a friendly reminder to myself that I’m playing with fire by not having a generator/inverter.

Nice. I’ll just need to decide on Blue vs Pro and how many to cover 48”x24”x24”.
