I don’t really measure it out when baking. I like to make large batches! I fill up the baking sheet/pan with what will fit without spilling, then bake at 300 degrees for 1.5-2 hours. Recipe says 300 degrees for 1 hour but I’m putting way more on the baking sheet. Anyways, the baking just removes the CO2 and turns it into Sodium Carbonate. Then I mix 380g (by weight) with RODI to make 1 gallon. That’s what I do anyways. Or you can follow the recipe @stoney7713 posted.Yeah...that's what in going to do from now on. What's the gram weight to put on the pan for a gallon? I'm sure I can find it but if you know
You use this in place of 2_part alk. I use 2 part esv, my 65 takes 38ml a day to maintain my 7.8-7.9I don’t really measure it out when baking. I like to make large batches! 375g, 380g, close enough since BRS says 1.5 cups of soda ash per gallon.I don’t really measure it out when baking. I like to make large batches! For 38ml per day, I would just stick with ESV. I think ESV has traces in it as well. I’m currently using 16,500ml/day of kalk and 500ml/day of 2-part alk. Before my rebuild I had kalk maxed, a 5000D RO Ca Reactor maxed out and still had to add over 1000ml of 2-part alk on top. If I was using only 2-part it would have been at over a gallon a day. When consumption goes through the roof you find ways to do it more economically. You use this in place of 2_part alk. I use 2 part esv, my 65 takes 38ml a day to maintain my 7.8-7.9
