All my homes tap water goes through a sediment filter and a 3.5 foot carbon tank
Looks like that tap water is working for you somehow but if/when you start having issues, I’d suggest that be the first place you look. I also have a whole house filter, which is enormous. The carbon filter alone is 6 foot tall by at least 2 foot in diameter but the TDS coming out of the taps is still at 215ppm. It is great for drinking, showers, plumbing, etc. but I would never put it in my reef tank.

Is it a softener system also or just a filter?

No softener.
Are you sure it’s just a softener? Most softeners don’t have a carbon but many have a external tank of resin. Is the tank actually carbon or is it a resin

Sorry I read that as
No, softener.

Ok so you gave a carbon filter but stil get tds. Do you have a sentiment filter also?

Here’s an example. The tank interior is shown. Very few softeners are also filters unless you have two separate tanks or something custom

I know most people here are stickheads, but this blasto has been fun to watch grow from one head. Adding this to go along with it.
Not all. There’s me a Goni and euphyllia guy (mostly), @robanister is a big shroom person, @Thuan who likes just about anything esp Acros torches and gonis . And that’s a nice looking Blasto
