I have had good luck but keep refining how I do it. Had a 5 gallon bucket next to copepods at one point. Copepod was hungry and jumped bucket and that was that. So big learning curve here. It also changes by season for warmth or cooling of cultur fau put out a great article on phyto.

I expect that it is binding of the algae and its forming to the side of the bag where the light is. By concentration of light all over new setup I hope to avoid this. I used reflective 99% material on the sides and back.
