In the planning stages for my next reef tank. It will be 5'x2'x2' (`150 gallons). I am thinking about using gyre pumps on each end. If you use gyre pumps, or have used them in the past, which one is your favorite and what are/were the pro's and con's?

I use jebao scp 180 on my 72"x24x24 (180gal). It's is s beast as I only have it on 2 pwr. Only thing is taking it part to clean. It's not bad. I've used all the jebao scp gyres, (scp 90, 120, 150, 180). Plus, @stoney7713 can print the guards for them

jebao, cheap and they work.

Gyres move a lot of water in a wide path.
You might have to still add a powerhead here or there due to rocks or whatever blocking flow.
They get dirty and flow drops off, you need to clean them regularly, easy to do, drop them in a bucket with citric acid.

I'll always use some gyres in the tank, again they move a lot of water.

Thanks for the info. I do plan on having other wave makers on the back wall to eliminate any dead spots, and anticipate adding a few more as corals grow.
