I’m off the table. I’m pulled into something

Worms chewed up my scrubber foam
They have been chewing tunnels and boring in the foam and nwo it doesn’t float anymore. I’m in a mission right now…

Old foam removed. Scrubber emptied and dewormed. Replacement foam installed. Now just need the silicone sealant to dry

Then return to tank and have to wait for new algae colony to grow. Was able to salvage a few grams of turf algae to seed with so hopefully this only takes 1-2 weeks instead of 3-4

You're industrious this morning!

Whereas I just woke up and can't go back to sleep...

I’ve ignored this problem and let it get out of hand. I got the part I needed and the silicone.

my infant is up so I’m up and decided to put myself to work instead of sit and watch trolls until she falls asleep lol

If I really felt motivated I would be calibrating probes and adding to my alkalinity doser but I’m content with just alk dosing and ph reading for now

I don’t know anything about orp nor do I think I should care

I don’t need salinity or temp monitoring.

But thought why not. It supports it. Get the probes. Then found out I need to calibrate and said meh

I had that problem at 3am been up ever since

Yeah, I get that a couple times a month. Sometimes I'm productive. Sometimes i veg out on the computer. This morning is going to be both, I think. I'm thinking eggs Benedict for the family when they wake up since we happen to have English muffins.

Congrats on an infant. My in-asked-for advice is to enjoy what you can from every stage and cut everyone some slack. Sometimes I pretend I'm back in time from the far future to enjoy one hour with the kids at age x, no matter what's happening.

General question: In my sump, I'm getting a piece of glass to separate the return chamber with my summer and reefmat from a fuge section. What should the top edge of the glass be where the water flows from section to section? Teeth? Smooth across the whole length? Small area lower so the flow goes across the whole fuge?

Getting old sucks. Beats the alternative though

Morning!

Didn't you recently set up a new tank, or do I need to go make coffee? How's it going in any case?

Lol

We're only just now cooling off a little. I think it was last week we had our first day under 100 since the middle of May. But we're only just now starting to see the low below 80

I love being a dad. Makes me into a big kid sometimes. I’ll stay up / get up for either of my kids, anytime they need me

This is how mine is

You might be able to add two panels with standoffs on the edges then can use eggcrate to make a media tray. Great for chemipure or socks of gfo or anything you want the water to flow through
