I recommend having some masstick on hand (if you don’t)
I will post a pic, I just had to run to Lowe's. I figured I'd give him a little while to settle and then throw some brine or mysis to see if he eats.

What is masstick?

Sorry if that's a stupid question @robanister

I think I found my weakness. A gorgeous hammer is tough to beat. We’ll see. Honestly all my new coral I’ll be obsessed with but I really like my torches frogs and hammers

Fish food that sticks to the glass. Copperbands don’t naturally eat from the water column but rather pick at shells… this helps mimic that behavior and can help the transition.

I did read about that before getting him. I have some of the other foods suggested but I'll definitely get the masstick ordered as well.

Yeah tons of advice out there; getting them to eat prep’d food can be a difficult and will take discipline, care and luck! Wish you both the best~

These prices do seem unusually low. Like unusually low

But. The demand for banana grail torch is not the same as gold hammer. It’s not even the same as holy grail torch.

I can buy holy grail any day of the week. Banana grail is much harder to find and the vendors that do have it sell for 400-600$

The price is high because the demand is high, and rarity is high.

You can go find 50 vendors and hobbiests easily selling gold hammer. I do think you should have got more for yours though

What makes it a banana grail vs a HG?

The names of the torch market is so comical at this point.

Based on my panicked search scallops and mussels cracked open and tossed in work nicely if it’s being a real pain but gotta remove the shell and food after a few hours

Sorry! I missread this. In my last reply I was showing banana vs banana grail

But that’s not what you asked. So banana grail is in my last post and they are green base transitioning to full yellow. That’s true yellow not a yellow variant.

A regular hg is a mix of neon yellow / neon green. More like a highlighter color

Banana grail is less bright but more yellow

HG is brighter but more of a yellow / green mixed together
