Something ? Nothing?

You may know people using it but there’s nobody on the forum to my knowledge, except for a mole from the company and a mystery account that appeared for a day. The science behind the devices claims has also been questioned and results / performance may be affected by the regional climate your area…IE use in Germany vs Arizona

It’s an interesting device and may work great. Just very limited experiences within this community so it makes it hard to weed out manufacturer claims / sponsored reviews vs real world performance.

Dogs Hello GIF by Williams Syndrome Association

Howdy. Had some Fam in, so Been a little out of touch. Hope your tanks are looking awesome. Can’t wait for my new corals next week!! Just got a pretty good ICP back. Dang bromine creeping up.
Are you adding something that contributes bromine ? What’s it for lol
Anyone bought one of these?
nobody on the forum except someone who works for the company and says they have been using this version for 7 months

In 2018 an aqua wiz employee had an account here to discuss the <at the time> Version but questions were left unanswered and the member has not been active in several years

Take it with a grain of salt - they are one of the few exclusive vendors of the product so of course they are going to praise it

Don’t get me wrong. Yes I’m a little sus. But there have been many products over the years making many claims and sometimes:
1) product doesn’t do what it claims
2) product kinda does it
3) product does what it claims but: has poor reliability, parts break, clog, require constant maintenance, results intermittent, things along those lines
4) product works great and does what it claims

I don’t trust vendors, sponsors of the product, sellers of it.

I do trust people that took their own cash out, bought it, use it for a while, and tell us their feedback and if they feel it’s worth 750$ And better / worse than competitors

I don’t know where it’s coming from. No bromide additions except maybe in water change with RC. Aluminum is also getting high.

I can't find a dussumieri - guy is supposed to get back to me in a few weeks. I think I might call the lfs and have them order me a cow fish, they're so stinking cute.
Since you have a tank large enough, other options in the larger Acanthurus genus are Fowleri and Maculiceps. Beautiful fish but like the Dussemieri get too large for tanks under 300.

After an Acanthurus I would look at the Naso and/or Vlamingii. Will get as large but much more peaceful temperament.

Stay away from the Sohol and Clown unless they are the only fish in the tank as those get mean as they grow and are known to kill other tankmates. Beautiful but not nice.

I love both but they're all difficult to find. I feel like next to the Sohal and Clown, these are the biggest but still nice. I really wanted a freckle face for the longest time bc I have freckles too. I like the Achilles too, just more expensive. I have a Vlamingii (unicorn) tang in the 450 currently - she is like a puppy and loves making eye contact with me, unlike any fish I've ever seen. She will miss out on food just to look at and follow me, it's wild.

I do like orange shoulder tangs for some reason. That said, clown tangs for some reason I really dislike.

I had an orange shoulder but it disappeared before I realized my cats were fishing out of my tank.
