Yeah but...they dont need to go I to another tank with pests sooooo....
They all have to be treated the same at this point. Plus the 40 gallon breeder is on stand by. Never get rid of those tanks your wife says you'll never use.

I'm in a wedding all weekend or I would seriously consider it bc not only for the corals but I'm sure it would be a good time with good people! The following weekend I'm out of town for work which only happens like once a year of course. Somebody in FL or close by should grab them for sure

I’m thinking you sound like you’re coming down with Covid. Probably need to tell your boss you should not work for a few days to be sure. I’ve had my shots, so no problem here. :D

@AKL1950 I think you can treat this alot easier than you think and recommend you at least make an attempt.

If you do want to break it down i can likely make some big purchases and likely have a few local vendors who can also toss some decent money at it.

Alternatively, i have an empty 6ft frag tank that can definitely take your tank in. You cluld chop the colonies at the base, i could stick them in the new frag tank (once stable snd ready for coral) then do weekly dips in KCL in big totes during water changes. After a few weeks we can meet up and get the survivors bsck to you.

I have to do a lil more homework on treating AEFW but if its as simple as a quarantine system snd KCL dips i think we could pull off the above and save your system.

I like your plan. I can contribute some drugs if needed.

Will the k7 be enought to light the 40 gallon for acros?
Hey I can answer this! standard 40 breeder in the center yes, the 10% on the left and right edges nope. So the majority of the tank could, all the way to the sand bed. Dang strong light.

The left and right wall 100-50 par depending on the rockwork.

That is awesome!. He would have to torch the acros still on the rock and go without acros till all cycles have passed.

Best option...I'll guide you through the process. Been there done that.

Racks to hold coral half-way up in tank. Or more rocks below racks. How high for light?

Understand and appreciate all the thoughts. The thing is, I was planning on doing this well before the bug issue started. I’m just glad the bug issue did start, because now I won’t be giving everything away and possibly unknowingly trashing people’s tanks. I guess all things happen as they should. For me, the bug issue just moved up the timeline a bit. If you feel you can handle the quarantine issues without angering your systems, come on over. Free pickings. I know where you are. If and when I decide to start up again, I’ll come see you for frags.
