You sure they weren’t exit-spheres? I like iodine if you haven’t tried

Tell that to my exospheres

I laughed at the first line
But I’m sooo sorry for your coral loss, it was a truly beautiful coral
I’m just saying, it is controversial, it really depends, it’s like a asterina lottery, will it eat my zoas, will it not, but I truly understand all of u, I am willing to take the risk, for the cuteness, my mom also loves them and since her coral is dying, I do owe her(yes Ik, maybe my zoas will too) but they touch that
They’ll pay…

Did you know there are approx 14 species of asterina and most look extremely similar and some eat zoa and some don’t? You never know what type you’ll get

Dose with manganese?
Yes. The best place I know to get it from
Is moonshiners website. They sell a pure form of it and they have a calculation tool to figure out the daily dosing amount. Yes. Daily. It’s consumed quickly and many tanks are zerod out without knowing it.

I need 2-3ml a day which is about 3 drops. Comes with a syringe from moonshiners.

The liquid isn’t that much. The shipping is a total rip off.

Thankfully the bottle they send is huge and will last a long time. Mine will last me 6 months I’m sure and I’m using it on a 75g and a 15g tank

Many many people with Goni issues have reported improvement after starting manganese. Some people it doesn’t help. Depends what the source of the issue is. Flow. Lighting. Nutrients. Trace elements.

Manganese is a good place to start if everything else seems ok, because it is something utilized by Goni, and is also consumed by macro algae, and it depletes fast.

2-3 ml isn't 2-3 drops. It's 2-3 of those syringes you have on that bottle.

Morning!

This Sucks!!!!

Lost power completely around 10:30 last night with no clear restoration time in sight...Wednesday,Thursday, or Friday they are saying. Lots of people without power at the moment.
Got the generator going, keeping the pumps flowing on all tanks and power to my refrigerators/freezers.
Supposed to be in the 80's today... Gonna need that AC or start putting ice packs in my sumps. :(

16 ounces is 9,463 drops

I use 5 drops per day

9463/5 = 1,892 days of dosing
Nice! Depends on the bottle also. The little brown glass bottles that I have is about .05ml per drop. Then..just print little labels for the glass bottle with the # of drops I need so I don't forget when I'm half asleep in the morning

I dose 2 ml of mang a day...I may need to start dosing more.

I keep a couple window units in the basement for when the power goes out. I use those in the main living area where my tanks are also.

Our Walmart just marked all the window units down too. If your generator is large enough, maybe that's an idea.
