I got rid of my archaic tank heater and went tankless and filled the space with a whole house softener + 2 stage filter hybrid

It was tight but we made it!

They make pex for gas to you know....it uses a fusion machine. Pretty freaking cool.

This was a nightmare and had to be done twice. There’s a split in the pex inside the wall and that feeds the house cold water.

After first install attempt I realized only hot water was being filtered, so had to redo the plumbing earlier before the hidden T inside the wall, so the feed into the filter came earlier.

So now its

Incoming water —> sediment filter —> carbon scuba tank —> softener —> Y —> to:
A) house cold water line
Or
B) tankless heater —> house hot water line

Any faucet or water outlet, anywhere in the house, has sediment + carbon filtration. I ditched rodi. Now I have essentially instant 2 stage rodi and that’s what I use, no waiting or making water ahead of time.
