For big tabling colonies, is it normal for slow bleaching/STN confined to only that deeply shaded area? Or is that a sign of an unhealthy colony?

Is it bleached below or the tissue is dead? Probably just lack of light and flow to that area.

Receeding tissue. its stopped/started over time. Maybe 6-9 monthsbat this point. No space exposed to light has shown progression, only shaded area. On the backside it stopped where light shines, months ago.

Ya a 2.5 day first week of September is pretty much a Dorado and YFT slam fest and im always good with that. Having to jig with the flat fall at midnight isn’t for everyone. There is nothing like a wide open live bait bite on a good mixed school of Dodos, YT and YFT….. I’m getting myself excited just thinking about it.

Unfortunately as I’m sure you know salmon will be closed for the 2nd season in a row for us up here. And we do have bluefin up here just have to have the ability to get to them on the days the weather lays down.
