what par do you all keep your acros in? Is there really much advantage to very high par? i run my frag tank at about 300, but i'm thinking about putting an elevated rack in my other frag tank that would put the par at 400-500 in a lot of spots. just for something different to see how they react. How do we feel about that? any experiences? Anyone know what SBB keep their par at for acros?

Dude mine stopped connecting to wifi the day before the warranty was up. I let it sit for a couple days to see if it reconnected. It didnt so i unplugged it and plugged it back in. Now the display just shows a solid block. I just emailed them yesterday so we will see what happens. I was thinking about getting a dostronic since Focustronic stuff is 15% off at BRS and because my ghl dosers i cant access remotely but now im second guessing if i should spend the money

How do you like the Reefing Art plugs? I like a ton of their other things. I bought both their breakable frag tiles and regular frag tiles.

They work well enough and are not white!
I like the tapered stems, the tops are just a smidge larger than those from SBB but a lot thicker. Same length overall but the stem is also a smaller diameter.

I haven't had any issues glueing things, I give the plugs a quick soak and pat dry before I glue.

They are hard to cut, probably the only negative.

Is that a DIY lid? Looks good. The mesh looks like 1/2” squares. Mine are 1/4” and block too much light.

I might be worried about the evap moisture going right up in those controllers...but I'm no scientist.

It’s the lid that IM ships with their tanks. It’s been pretty nice. It’s a good call on the evap moisture. I may move them again in a bit.

Lol, we've said before @billyocean will make it pop with purples. I joked his orange blast milli probably rocks some reds, pinks and purples. He is like let's put a dash of purples in there.

Well before I put the lens diffusers, my top rack was about 500 par, the acros like it. I think it colors them up quick. I moved one from that rack to elsewhere and it lost some of it's color.

We keep between 350 and 500

I think it is your minor element dosing. I haven't gotten into any of that, just all for reef and some aminos. I've been thinking about potassium since you've mentioned it awhile ago and looking into how it affects colors.

Yeah I got you. I thought you asked about the lid too but that was AKL. I had all of the controllers on the side but moved them up there a couple weeks ago and spent quite a bit of time Velcroing them again today but that’s a good point. I’ll probably move them next week.

It looks good! But saltwater is hellacious on things even though it's mostly freshwater evap

Yeah, I'll wait for Amazon Days July 11-12. They have Brightwell products on sale often so I am sure there will be some deals.

Speaking of, what is everyone's opinion of selcon vs the aminos from Brightwell for fish? I've been using the Brightwell ones since they had that sale a bit back and got the bottles for $5 each. Just wondering if I'm missing anything that selcon provides for the fish and if I should rotate it.
