You grow your own phyto?Looks like he buys similar bottles from Amazon as I do when I bottle my phyto.
Yup. Nanno and Tetra. You grow your own phyto?
With dosing phyto, do you notice effects on your corals? I just did my 1st dose on my 65 @ 5ml/10g.Yup. Nanno and Tetra.
I target my Goni and clams when pumps are off if I'm feeding lps, otherwise I just broadcast feed. I think they react well. Hard to tell when you just dump it in. The Christmas tree worms will definitely all come out though. With dosing phyto, do you notice effects on your corals? I just did my 1st dose on my 65 @ 5ml/10g.
I saw this in a thread somewhere out there on the line in r2r and thought it was cool...Funny you mentioned the evaporation thing @billyocean , my regular Tunze ATO pooped out tonight. It started beeping and then flashing. I checked connections, tried a different pump tried blowing it out with electronics cleaner with no luck. Hooked the nano Tunze back up and for some reason it’s working perfectly again. I like it more too because it takes up less space in the sump area. Liking no modules, cleaner wiring.
I’m ready for the sale coming up!
I’ve got my eye on a green crack. I think I’m ready.
You can soak them in vinegar or citric acid too every now and then to clean.
Citric acid is less harsh on the pumps apparantly..but the float switch and sensor get dirty and need cleaning to ensure reliability. My tunze 3155 has had minimal cleaning but I think it's the tunze nano that has the most failsBoth the pumps are in great condition and working good. But while I’m at it, I haven’t ever soaked my return pump or powerhead. I clean them up almost every week but they are probably due for a good clean. Citric acid or vinegar? Just soak them for a few hours and rinse off/wipe down?
Saving that for sure. That will be helpful. This has been my throw everything that looks neat to me into a tank and group stuff together that can touch. I think I can make a really neat looking tank on the next one now that I know more of what I like and don’t like and feel confident that I can keep certain things alive. It may be 6 months to a year or so but I’ll upgrade and really put some thought into placement and be more selective with my coral choices. May turn this one into a frag tank.I saw this in a thread somewhere out there on the line in r2r and thought it was cool...
