The kicker is the part you read where the hatch is bolted from the outside so you can't even open it from the inside. If they got to the surface and aren't seen then they are trapped.

Idk of yall keep up with the news but... yall see this?!

Xbox controller batteries died.

In all seriousness, that is one of the craziest things I’ve read in awhile and I thought it was some weird conspiracy theory thing when I first started reading it.

Still takes fossil fuel to make electricity. Even if we had total wind, sea, solar energy capabilities...China is buying up all the lithium mines while "going green" is pushed. Eventually, we have to pay just as much or more for the batteries to operate said "green" tech. Then...at the end of the day it all ends up in the ocean anyways..lol

Expected more conversation today. Been busy all day with work and now sitting in an airport. Thought I'd come back to at least a few more posts of people's corals and @billyocean dropping some fire.

How's the build coming along Ryan? I'm doing some back of the napkin math on what else needs to be purchased for a larger tank. I think a large skimmer and filter roller are needed, but really not sure what else. One more Noopsyche, I'd transfer over the two I have, the wavemaker and Nero 3, probably need another Nero or MP40. Really wondering what else would be needed if I go the route of a waterbox. I'd hold off on a controller for sometime in the future, seem to do fine without it.

Want to know something wild, I haven't been home enough to dose my phyto. Without dosing a good amount of phyto, my phosphates have risen a ton. Quite a weird inverse relationship.

Live phyto consumes a ton of phosphates and nitrates though, the Guillard F/2 you dose to culture it is basically that and if the culture consumes all of it before you harvest it crashes the culture.

I tested last night before I left for a trip today and I'm at .28 phosphates, surprised that everything is doing fine.

The tank is just sitting downstairs. Haven't really had too much time to mess with it. First I need to drill 4 of the holes bigger with the template from Modular Marine. I'll grab some 1.5" pipe and fittings from HD and paint it dark gray. Have the valves I need and plumbing it won't take too long. I'm going to run it like my 125..socks n rocks. The sump is much bigger so I can throw a good bit more rock in there. I'm going to grab a jebao dcp 20000 return pump and two scp 180s in addition to the pumps I already use. I'm looking for another vipar 300 or maybe will use the three I have and add 4x4' quanta bars for the time being. Need to make a controller board and make a nice tidy wire set up from the jump. Once it's up and running I'll make some panels with inset magnets for the stand skin..no doors..just skinned and removable panels. It's nothing that's going to take a lot of time but I've been busy with softball. Will drill out the holes in the next couple weeks and start the whole process.

I love this one. Super easy so far for me. I was hoping to grab a lockjaw last auction, just timing wasn't great. The auctions always end on Sunday when I'm in church and not really looking to have my phone out bidding on stuff.

I'm interested to see the no name smooth skin you grabbed. There were a couple frags of it and it looked interesting.

I haven't had time to enjoy my tank for way too long, but I did take my daughter out to a few LFS over the weekend to look around and they had this monster in the fresh water section. Ever seen one of these @steveschuerger

Bichir. I've wanted one off and on through the years. Not sure how the wife would feel about having a fish that could get away with eating a cat when grown.
