Even aquacultured acros have about a 3 month mark. Make it 3 months or so and they should be good to go. Maricultured is a much longer timeline. I've read how Shane does his mari colonies and its quite involved.
This one is the best colors. Here is the original picture (and I've had it 6 months and 11 days) and reposted here is the same one that I mentioned earlier, but compare the colors. I bought the original one for 20$. For some reason though it hasn't grown at all. Same size practically.

The other two I mentioned, one is a mille with amazing colors developing and the other is a spath that looks great. I have two more mille doing fine with one that will be special and the other growing a ton but lost all color and is green. Another spath lost it's color but is happy, and I have one weird smooth skin doing great and maintained it's color but it was a plain color to start.

If I hadn't mentioned it, you all should get the aquarium note 2 app on your phone, it is amazing.

I really like spaths..kind-of an underrated acro. Maybe not underrated but definately not seen as much

Bringing the conversation back to SBB acros though, the two I'm most excited for are 1) a mystery tenuis I bought in August that had "wacky watermelon" written on the stem. I haven't seen this one for sale since, it came as under colored and is just getting crazy colors right now. 2) the double rainbow mille. I think this is going to be fire, I got a shaded one last sale so it is still developing colors.

Bumblebee is still one of my favorites, but it came colored up and I don't expect to tease out more colors. It gets a permanent home on the rocks, I'm thinking of tearing one of the bubble gum digitata colonies that is on prime real estate.

That wacky watermelon was available a bunch awhile back, it is a nice one for sure.

Haha, Didn't take long for you to join the....no room for monti's..... group.

Lol, I have it in two spots is all. I bought one piece and accidentally fragged it and tried glueing it to the rock. It took off in both places, but the one on the higher rock work is acro space. The one on the mid rocks can stay, though I have to trim it some, it is growing towards the Crocea. It is the door to the blenny home, so the mid one can definitely stay.

The wacky watermelon is one of my favorites and the double rainbow is too. Both pull some nice colors and I don't think mine are done yet

I use a notebook. Something about writing it down that helps me remember. I'll give the app a look see though

More than just measurements, it records livestock where you can add a picture and a category, does conversions, adds tasks for what you need to add, it is amazing.

while im here - whats the group consensus on acclimation?

ive made the risky decision on this tank to only deal with certain vendors and not dip acros since i think various dips played a role in my previous fialures.

everyone just do a short temp acllimation and go?

I always temp acclimate, CoralRX and inspect, and then put it in the tank.

Always dip!!!!

Potassium Chloride for acros. 1 tblspoon per gallon. Bayer can be harsh on some acros.
