If your nitrates or phosphates zero out but the other one doesn't you can get algae problems.nice. what do you need the neo nitro for
sure but they said they have nitrates. So no need to add right...?If your nitrates or phosphates zero out but the other one doesn't you can get algae problems.
I wasn't as I have never heard of it. I've been on the lookout for a crosshatch male but will look more into this guy. Very pretty. Thank you.Weren't you looking for one of these?
If feeding alone isn't getting you where you need to be, that's a logical next step. I prefer to mix up sodium nitrate, but neo nitro is a perfectly serviceable off the shelf solution. So should I get some neo nitro? I have about 180 gallons total in this system
Ive tried both of those and found good ole stump remover to work best lol.. maybe my tank lacking potassium who knows.. the spectracide potassium nitrate colored up my sticks quick! If feeding alone isn't getting you where you need to be, that's a logical next step. I have heard this before. It seems CRAZY to me to put stump remover in our tanks but it works! Back to the good I'll Reefing mantra. There's no one way to do it right and a Lot of ways to do it Wrong.Ive tried both of those and found good ole stump remover to work best lol.. maybe my tank lacking potassium who knows.. the spectracide potassium nitrate colored up my sticks quick!
I was skeptical but my buddy who farms at his house, that’s all he uses so I gave it a shot and glad I did! Worked way better than Neo nitro..I have heard this before. What is your target? Is you can hold at 15 and .1, the likelihood of a Dino resurgence goes directly down.Well my nitrate is at around 8ppm and I turned the lights back on after adding some copepods and the algae has largely disappeared, here are a couple pics of the tanks now
Congrats on 100So should I get some neo nitro? I have about 180 gallons total in this system

I run a crap ton of trochus personally.Gotcha, got a carbon reactor on the way to keep my water clear, looks like the algae is doing better at the moment- now to beef up my CUC- anyone got any good recommendations?
Same. Trochus and Stomatellas. Started with two of each and they breed readily even with my Halichoeres wrasses. I see babies frequently.I run a crap ton of trochus personally.
My frag tank is my breeding area. I probably dunno the 10 biggest a month into the display and never miss them in the frag tank.Same. Trochus and Stomatellas. Started with two of each and they breed readily even with my Halichoeres wrasses. I see babies frequently.
