The more I read about this bacterium, the more worried I get. It's present in only 3% of aquariums tested, which means aside from Mote Marine's work on it, it's pretty much an unknown. It's gram-negative, which imparts certain drug resistance, and it's intracellular.

I could treat it like Ricketts and Chlamydia, and get a doxycycline scrip for it. Whole tank, 8 days, 2.5mg/l. I will still need to knock out the conditions that promote it though, High nitrates... not sure on it's interaction with phosphates.

@billyocean . This is a stupid question. Should I run the 2 Quanta led bars continuously which makes the ballast very warm. or should I run it like 4 hrs give it a break/cool down, then run the 2nd half

Starting back dosing today! Down to 140 ppm or 7.827 dkh. Took a week but have only lost a dozen corals. Going to start at 86 ml Aquaforest 123. Dosed 90 earlier this week and still had a little rise.

I have decided no more red sea products except for my filter roll changes.

Want to do a shout out for Bulk Reef Supply. Ordered some Brightwell Code A and B and received it yesterday. Box was soaking wet. Sent them an email about it. Received an email this morning that replacement is on the way for the Code B that was leaking. Great support.
