OMG. Losing 4 of my Discus to HIH is nothing to this. Ugh. Sorry again .
Well, it's my own dang fault for not checking earlier. Dropping 1500-4k on coral 'hoping' it's just something dumb I'm doing is bad enough, but dropping 1500-4k on coral when no matter WHAT I did they would have gone south? That's painful. Test only cost a hundo. Waiting for it was the hardest part.

The question is whether that knowledge is poison or curative.
All knowledge useful even if it’s painful. I just wish more people would understand this. i run into the ol ignorance is bliss type way too much at work and it’s sometimes coworkers….

Looks yummy. All I made was sausages with saute onions and gravy and roasted potatoes.
Well dinner was mushroom cheeseburgers with cheddar cheese and steamed summer squash . Used a foe processor to make mix of shrooms, onions and garlic added to 2 lbs ground lean beef. Added Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard and pepper. Voila burger mix. Then to convert to meatloaf added 2 eggs as binder and 1 cup oats. Bake for an hour at 375 with slabs of cheddar on top in the last 15 minutes. That way I get like 3 meals or more out of it. Saving money to save on corals lol.

The saving could turn out to be an extra coral frag

No chance. It's an intracellular parasite that takes amino acids produced by the zooxanthellae instead of allowing the coral to metabolize them. So in effect, it starves the coral at a cellular level.
Sorry man. I just sent in my aquabiomics test kits monday. I hope that isnt the same thing ive had going on with my tank. I saw the date on your test of June. I didnt realize it takes that long for them to get results. I have a pretty expensive hammer coming Tuesday. I would hate to put it in the tank and then find out it is now doomed and no chance of saving it. Although, that one coral would be a tiny fraction of the money in the tank now…

3d printed guards?
Maybe? Darned things are ridiculously small. I don’t have a 3D printer though obviously I v know a few here who do. You have don’t you? If so could you try to print a few up? Let me know what you’d want in return…
