Definitely have noticed an explosion in coralline growth since I started dosing kalkwasser. It’s everywhere but the spot of these pictures allows me to get a good pic.

Thanks man. I think I’ve finally beat the nuisance algae(knock on wood). I’d really love to spend some money on some new frags and I wanna try the Red Sea coral colors program. Unfortunately,lol, xmas is right around the corner and well, two 10 year olds don’t make it easy on Santa.

I think I’m on the down slope of the ugly phases and algae growth and I think one of the things that really helped was changing my fuge light. I was using a par38 flood lamp which worked fine against a Prime HD but it couldn’t come close to outcompeting the Sunpower, so I pulled out an old Chinese black box led that utilizes blue and white LEDs , don’t know the specs as I inherited this light used, and I did start seeing a slow decrease in algae growth in the DT and the other day I trimmed a few gallons worth of chaeto. However, even tho I’m growing chaeto I’m not seeing much growth in other usual fuge type algae’s.

Anyway, I want to thank @bubbaque for the advice. And @d2mini I know you’ll be surprised bc I’m sure we haven’t spoken and I kinda stalked your build, and that’s where I decided to buy my new fuge light. My dragons breath is growing great, but my cheato is this ultra dense ball that grows super super slow.
Not sure if its the light/spectrum or other factors since I changed a lot since I was running triton and the mars hydro 300 lamp.

I keep hearing 6500k for chaeto... basically, daylight spectrum. Which makes since because as I understand it, it grows at the surface in the wild like the big sargassum mats over here.

It grew like nobody's business with both my Mars Hydro 300 (very magenta spectrum) on this tank and with my HPS lamp on my old tank. The HPS is a very orange light, probably around 2500k.
I'm talking pulling out a 3 gallon bucket of cheato every month.
All led grow lights for plants are in that red spectrum.

I went with the light @d2mini was using, the MarsHydro 300 after seeing what it was doing to his chaeto. It grows my chaeto like crazy.
