Yeah man. I'm loving the progress. How do you like the travertine tiles? Would you use them again?

I really like them, I'm just starting to be able and see them again after all the algae that was on them. They are growing coralline algae real well under the diatoms and stuff. I think from here on out the choice will start paying off. Live sand looks a lot better from the beginning ...and the tile tends to look bad an unnatural in the beginning. But now that it's starting to encrust with good algaes they are really starting to look good. I would def use them again. I'll try and get some up close pics of them tomorrow so you can see their progress.

I'm running bare bottom and was considering the travertine or starboard next time. Glad the tiles are working out. Following along.

Please do. I'm going to pick some up soon to line the bottom of the 75. It seems like the perfect balance between sand and bare bottom

Do you have a refugium? If not might be worth something to look into so it can absorb the nutrients.

How well does it grow? It seems your main tank lights are having the algae in the display out compete the refugium.

FYI Those mangroves won’t be doing any nutrient control
