For reference, I just looked back and start date was June 24th and I'd say I've only been brown snot free for...a week, maybe 10 days.

I'm gonna check out your thread! I actually just added more rock to fill it out a little more. The scape just started to look plain to me and I'm too impatient to let the coral fill it out.

Things look a little better after the scrub and 48 blackout. I'm not WOWED but we'll see where it goes from here.

Nothing good happens fast in a reef tank. LOL I finally got to say it!!!

Personally, I would just keep pulling and scrubbing excess algae, add more CUC, and wait it out... it just looks like tank acne to me, it's a teenager... Another month or so and it'll be cleared up.

I just refer to him as Midas Blenny. I wanted to name him Blenny Kravitz but he never answered to it when I did.
