Reefer 350 arrived damaged

Hi All,

First thread! As a preface, I participate in many forums and have to say this place is vibrant active, and super helpful and friendly.

I am just getting started in the hobby after about a year with a little freshwater tank. I’m taking the plunge on a reefer 350 and assembling my gear. To my disappointment my RSR350 came with a damaged panel. RSR has been great and because they don’t have the single panel available to ship, they’re sending me an entire new cabinet. My unit is a V3, however this cabinet being sent is an “A” which I assume is a version 1. RSR says this is compatible aside from minor differences. My question is (sorry to be long winded) should I assemble the replacement cabinet or use only the part I need from the replacement kit for my V3?

RSR says they will not need the unit with one damaged panel back, so I’m happy to pay it forward and make available parts to everyone here. I’m in SW CT.

Sorry the tank came in damaged. I don’t have a RSR stand so can’t help but hopefully some today will chime in.

I would say if the panels are the same, use it. I woul be careful about any potential warranty issues and document everything you do in case an issue arises.

i have a 425,
Personally I would use the stand they send, it may harm your Warranty,
as long as the stand they send is compatible with the pipe work ect! It will be fine! Hope this helps!

Yes they said the new stand would be warrantied but not the old. Can anyone share if there are noticeable differences to the cabinets between V1 and V3 or are these really sump and plumbing changes?
