These are some observations I've made over the years; feel free to add your own:
1) Sometimes, a coral frag seems worth the price you pay until you own it. After that you think to yourself "what did I see in that coral the caused me to spend X dollars?"
2) No matter how many corals you have or how colorful they are there is always another one out there in someone's tank that you've got to have.
3) If people comment on your corals and ask for a frag, you sometimes wonder what they see in the coral. I call this the "saturation" effect; you've looked at the coral for so long that it no longer holds the appeal for you it once did.
These are my personal observations and may not reflect your opinion. Again, please add a few of your own for discussion.
