Had one of these around the same time as my first tank, I've been debating getting a hold of another one purely for nostalgia. Thanks for posting!Back in 2005 - NanoCube 12DX
That's an amazing rock!My 3rd tank from way back in the day! Circa 2013 - 2014
That's awesome.Throw back Thursday!
My grandfather's fish store sometime in the early 60s. Pueblo Colorado.
Were the methods in that book similar to how we do stuff today?I remember reading this in 1989 front to back like three times. Mind blown! Had my first reef setup in 1990. Wish I could find those old old photos!
That is really cool your grandfather was a fish store owner in the 60's! How long did he have the store?Throw back Thursday!

Guessing by the color of the DSB, tank was running yrs before 2008 ?
Jan 2008
Oops, I realized when I went back for the 2nd pic that it wasn't 2008 but rather 2013. That sandbed was not as old as it looked in that pic. However I did have a 90 gallon before that, that had a 10 year old DSB and when I tore it down it smelled just like fresh salt water, no rotten smell at all. I have a tank now with a 6 or 7 year old DSB.Guessing by the color of the DSB, tank was running yrs before 2008 ?
Is that a long tip nem on the rocks? I always thought they wanted that whole foot buried in sand.
From my old 90g back circa 2009.
