Funny you ask that because I started with the XR30 GEN 5 Pro and 2 60" XHO reef brites and I was killing alot of SPS. My initial plan was to sell the 60" and get 72" but then the G6 came out so I sold my G5 Ecotechs, the reef brites, and bought 3 new G6 XR30 Blues (I wanted Pro but I brain farted when I clicked buy). As you can see above everything is growing good so I am not going to mess with it for now but eventually when everything is really grown out I will consider adding the Reef Brites again but for now with the amount of coral I have now and the space I don't think you need to start with so much spread.
With the additional spread of the G6s you'll probably be fine without the ReefBrites. On my Red Sea 750XXL I have a pair of XR30 G5 Blues and a pair of XR15 G5 Blues running a modified 'radiance' template @75% intensity. SPS seem to be doing really well with this (they're in the 250-300 PAR range).

Your lack of nutrients is probably because the use of a roller mat, skimmer and refugium combo is wiping out all the nutrients. Ryan at BRS has said a few times in some videos that he had that problem and suggests using a smaller skimmer that is undersized for the total system volume. Even turning the skimmer off periodically if nutrients disappeared, and that was without using a refugium at all. He theorized that it wasn't a problem using filter socks because debris essentially marinated in the socks between cleanings and still decayed, but the roller mats were so incredibly effective that the skimmer cleaned up what was left and chaeto in there too is even more effective. He mentioned that he noticed the skimmer seemed to be barely doing anything, but every time he had the roller mat out to replace it, the skimmer would spring to life again from the surge of gunk.

100% but between feeding heavy and dosing neo-nitro and reef roids (weekly) I got it where it needs to be

I upgraded to a ReefMat 1200 about a month ago and use roughly between 55-60" of fleece daily. This works out to roughly a month per roll.

Mine fluctuates on how much I feed does anyone know if the reef mat would take out all the coral food like reef roids or phyto before it hits the frag tank??
Mine does a little as well, but with 46 fish (did I mention the 46 fish?) it doesn't vary too much from day to day. At 200 microns I imagine quite a bit would get through - including Reef Roids and phyto.

I am about to hit the 9 month mark and I can really see noticeable growth especially when I go away for a week on vacation and come back. I am turned up my skimmer to the highest setting which is connected to my CO2 scrubber which has really gotten my PH up to about 8.21. This really seems to make the SPS happy. I have found that the ICE Cap CO2 scrubber material seems to last the longest for me almost 2 weeks in the XL scrubber. I am going to be starting to frag some corals here shortly as I have realized I have doubled up on a few corals so I am going to free some space up to put something different in those spots and I have some zoas that are growing out of control I will frag as well. Not sure where is going to be the best place to get rid of them. I would love to here what people do that are not really interested in going into a business persay of selling coral but have 30-40 frags to get rid of???

Tank looks really really nice :)

Seeing how nice RedSea puts things together makes me think of the headache of doing every from scratch on my tank.

Think the result came out well, but was a lot of tweaking along the way.

Probably the way I'd go if I get a smaller tank soon ;)

Yeah I would have been like that back in the day :p

Probably took a lot longer as well. Had to have the 470 built, found the 200 gallon sump pre-owned (luckily fit) had to have the stand designed and welded...

Felt like I had issues with the bean animal drains the entire time I had the tank as well.

Hmmmm...I have some detritus buildup in my Reefer 850 return pump chamber. Thought this might be a nice way to clean that up. Sounds like maybe you don't recommend it anymore...??
