Hello everyone, so after setting up my reefer 750 xxl and loving it so much my son wanted a fish tank for Christmas. Soooooo after doing some looking and searching I found this little gem for the deal of a lifetime which I couldn't turn down. The previous owner did explain to me that there was a pinhole size leak in the left back corner due to the silicone beginning to fail. So after a couple minutes of negotiations the tank was broken down and brought home. I started off by cleaning everything because it looked like the tank had not had any maintenance done to it in over a year. Once everything was all clean and separated began to work on the pinhole leak in the corner. I am not an expert sealing tanks by any means look up a couple YouTube videos on how to and began with a razor blade to cut out the silicone in the inside corner of the tank. After that wiped down with some alcohol and laid down new silicone seal allowed to dry for the recommended time and then put water and tested did not find anything leaking everything looked like it was working great now time to assemble. Put the sand back and put in a couple leftover pieces of rock from the 750 build. Installed all the plumbing which was a breeze on these reefer tanks but then noticed that the bulkheads were leaking. After a little troubleshooting decided to drain the Overflow and remove the plumbing for the Emergency Drain and for the return pump which were the ones that were leaking. Added some Teflon tape to the threads on the bottom of the pipes and reinstalled. After this was done there was not one leak or one drip coming from the newly sealed lines problem solved. Continued to set up the tank installing the skimmer, light, heater, return pump and all that good stuff. Once I made sure there were no more leaks went to bed because it was 3 a.m. and had to be on the way to work at 6 a.m. so will continue to update as I get time to work on the tank and upload some pictures
