Hi all, looking for some help with a disease ID, is this Ich or velvet on my purple tang?

The pics aren’t super clear, but that looks like mucus plugs from some stress/injury. Velvet doesn’t create spots and ich is not localized like this.

More background info and clear pics/video would help the diagnosis. This post explains that:

These are mucus cones likely started with a skin irritation and may be mixed in with ich. Often you will notice with this that other occupants show no signs. Keep an eye on them but for purple, you will have to isolate in a separate tank and treat with coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25 for a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.

Agree with the above - to me it looks like scratches/injuries - with subsequent irritation - as compared to a parasitic issue.
