Why are you fasting fish ? typo ? agree trates need to be higher .20 or higher...
One of my fish is showing symptoms of swim blatter disease and so I'm starting with a 2 day fast then if that doesn't work I'm going to do a Epsom salt bath

Ok what is a general age to start putting anemones in?
They have a much better chance of surviving if the tank is 8-12 months old.

Everything I've read says Epsom salt only works for fresh water fish. @vetteguy53081 ?

Sorry - I can't keep track of all of the information - however, from the initial post, the anemone looks like it is dying. And likely fowling the tank. Is it still attached to a rock? are the tentacles still 'sticky'. The water looks cloudy - unless thats just the photo. I don't think the temperature is an issue - except that the higher the temp, the faster bacteria (including pathogens) multiply. I would agree with lowering it.

As to the fish - there is no benefit to an epsom salt bath in salt water. Instead feed brine shrimp, if you can. I do not know (someone mentioned 'trates' - I guess thats nitrates - however, I doubt thats playing a role with your anemone. I also have started tanks and added anemones within a week. I do not think the age of the tank is the issue - unless the parameters are jumping up and down.

My phosphate spikes on occasion other than that everything else stays about the same

Epsom salts is a freshwater remedy mainly for goldfish and no effect as fish are already in salt
Try brine shrimp which will help if any blockage and if air, fish will release on its own- can you post a video of swimming behavior under white light intensity?

If it stops sticking to the rock or starts coming apart, I’d just discard that before it makes a mess.

All life needs access to nitrate, feeds diversity and populations of algae’s and bacteria’s.
