Hello fellow reefers,

I quit saltwater about a year ago, however I decided to get back into the hobby and this time, I am looking to make some basic cash. I have a aquarium laying around and I would like to make a frag tank. Please take a look at my details below and help me decide if I am thinking right or not.

Secondly, would be nice to know if it were you, what corals you'd keep in your frag tank?

- Tank dimensions: 90cm x 38cm x 35cm
- I am planning to use a crate to grow corals on.
- Under the crate, I am going to be laying down bio bricks to cover the floor to house as much bacteria as I can.
- Lights: 2x red sea reef led 50
- Nano skimmer
- HOB - For basic filtration with sponge in it
- Carbon media bag somewhere in the corner of the tank to make sure the tank doesn't smell
- Wavemaker (I will have to decide as I make it)
- ATO

Please let me know if the above sounds decent to make sure with a good maintenance every week and water changes, I can run a frag tank.

Thank you!

Are you planning on introducing livestock to provide nutrients in the water? If not, I wouldn’t worry too much about running a skimmer or HOB. Flow and some area for bacteria and WC (eventually if needed dosing) will do the trick imo.

Don’t try and make the water too clean.

I would like to keep a wrasse to kill pests and maybe a blenny with some snails to help me with algae.

Ia m sorry, I don't know what is WC. Can you please explain?

I was browsing the internet, I do have a sump from my older tank so I was thinking of connecting it like below:
