Hi guys, i am converting a running small 15G AIO barebottom in to a frag tank. It has skimmer and automatic filter roller. At the moment there are live rock but as i will put a egg crate at 7cm height the live rock they could not fit anymore.

What should i do as a substrate?
- Break up the rock and make rubble to put under the eggcrate?
- Put ceramic media under the eggcrate and in the internal sump?

I would like not to use the live rock since there are some aiptasia and i would like for them not to spread and i think rubble will collect more detritus so it will need more maintenance.

Is ceramic media a good option? (i will put it in my bigger system sump for a month in order to collect bacteria)

If i could go with ceramic media i will put probably some rubble (from aiptasia free area) in the internal sump for a while to be sure to not to have problem.

What do you suggest?
