Tank size: 60.5"L x 23.6"W x 21.7"H (~130 gallons)

Wrasse have quickly become my favorite type of fish, but I am scared to add more to my display because I had a melanurus wrasse that turned hyper aggressive and attacked a pair of bluestar leopard wrasse when I first added them. I had to remove the leopard wrasse and place them in a 40 gallon next to my main tank until I could capture and return the melanurus wrasse to the LFS. I have had the 2 leopard wrasse for a year now and they have been stars in the main tank since they moved over. I would really like to add more wrasse to this tank since I have a hefty sandbed and love watching them cruise around the tank inspecting/pecking at the rockwork.

I was thinking a yellow coris wrasse or another Halichoeres?

I have two leopards and keep a radiant wrasse, china wrasse, and pink streak wrasse with them. No aggression shown and they were even added after the others.

I will say in the past I had a blustar that was great for years, then turned male and it was a huge jerk to just about everything. Go figure.

Wow, great pictures! I keep a Halichoeres chrysus and two pink streak wrasses with my blue star. I also have a splendid pencil wrasse but jury's still out on that one. I plan on adding a radiant wrasse (Halichoeres iridis) and a few flashers and fairies to the same tank.

I've never seen a China Wrasse before...they are neat! I'm hoping our blue stars stay peaceful but the males sure do look pretty.

Thanks! I am leaning towards Halichoeres chrysus. Any issues with flasher/fairy wrasse with Anthias? I feel like they look similar.

I just ordered a small 1-2" yellow/purple wrasse (Halichoeres leucoxanthus) from @Marine Collectors

I think I had this species before but it managed to jump out of a tiny hole (the hole looked smaller than any fish in the tank) in my lid for my auto feeder. It was sold as a lemon wrasse from my LFS and was a model citizen for months but easily spooked. We were devasted when he managed to jump so hopefully this new one will do ok.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I haven’t had issues when I’ve tried but then I’ve only ever had one anthias
I currently have 3x Bimaculatus Anthias but 1 of them recently turned male and turned annoyingly aggressive but mainly towards the other Anthias. I originally had 5 anthias but when he transitioned, he ended up killing 2 of the females :(. The leopard wrasses do well avoiding him.
