7 minutes 15 seconds or so possibly producing some type of gas bubbles just after it swarms around what looks like possibly encysted dinos. This things is cool. This is just before the little ball split up.

Very much. I think one of my favorite things I've found so far. I think its similar to what I've seen before

Here

But that was much smaller to what I found above. Trying to ID it. Seems to be some kind of bacterium. It produces gases of some type, grew very large (for a microorganisms that is), and lots of what could be pili.

Edit: so far just looking like a basic giant amoeba. That little one is and maybe this giant one thats splitting but all those pili is crazy and stiring up those micro bacteria. Leading me to paramecium.

Little background on this one. I dose limewater for 1 second every 2 minutes 24/7. The peristaltic pump that does this has a rate of 250ml/m.

I also dose a carbon source (vodka/vinegar right now) every 4 hours via another dosing pump.

They end up at a T together and dose out the same end and spot.

This keeps the tip clean from calcium buildup and some fun chemical reactions...another thread

My sump gets a lot of bacteria buildup which is fine with me. Particularly right in the spot the dosing happens

I sucked in some of that and keep in mind it's hit consistently with some pretty high alk/pH 24/7 so didn't know what to expect.

Awesome pics! What setup did you use to take the pictures. Also what strength magnification is needed? Thanks

Needed a break from testing parameters and work and everything

Took this sample from the surface of a rock that didn't look like it had anything on it.

Man is it just full of life. I just can't get enough of this stuff. Always seeing something different too

I'm still watching and taking a pretty long video of an amoeba.
