My first attempt at any coral or pictures of corals. I’m sure I’ll find a better approach eventually.

I chose this photo because it is two things I struggle with. While not nearly the worst photo I took in this session, the foreground is out of focus, and the Leopard Wrasse in focus is dark and distant. I have deleted countless pictures that are out of focus in the foreground but otherwise like. Also, there is a lot of particulate in the water in this lengthwise shot. My Sea Hare pooped and quickly shut down my photo session. I tend not to run heavy mechanical filtration with high turnover in my reefs, so detritus in the water column can be frustrating for photos.

Here's my submission!
Truly a wonderful full tank shot and I think it helped me understand why I have a gha problem. I need blackout curtains lol :loudly-crying-face:
Ooooh...window glare is my bane for photos of client's tanks. Open floor plan with lots of windows is a realtors dream but aquarium photography nightmare

It's the bane of mine! Our tank is relatively close to a window, so whenever I get pictures of our tank, I either have to stand in this awkward position to not have a glare or just photoshop the glare out of the photo (which is too much work, lol).

It's not a terrible picture. I did pull it out of my deleted folder in lightroom. I was trying to emphasize the struggle of getting a shot that I rather like, but the focus is in the wrong place and it just becomes distracting. The brightly lit out of focus anthias in the foreground are visually straining for me. I was trying to get the mirror effect of the front glass, but haven't nailed a shot I like yet.
