Ive noticed quite a few avatars that are bashing a business Im assuming is local to Jackson or surrounding areas. We at R2R do no allow bashing of any kind whether it be towards a business or another forum. I will be removing these avatars as I see them. Your more than welcome to add a new one but please do respect the R2R Reef 2 Reef - User Agreement when doing so. Thanks for you understanding, we appreciate it.

Please respect those of us in our protest of a business that has caused lost jobs, lost livelihood , and the horror of being arrested because of the arrogance of one business. My avatar is my way of expressing my disgust at a business that cost me my job, thousands in legal fees and a possible felony conviction. If you want to know more, message me but do not take away the only thing I have to get back for losing everything.

We aim to ensure that the forum is an enjoyable place that you want to visit time and time again. Our underlying philosophy is that the strength of the member relationships we build here is what sets us apart from the other boards - we are friendlier, more civil, more insightful, more mature and more fun.

* Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. Challenge others points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully.
* Do not post unsubstantiated gossip, libelous remarks or directly misleading information.
* Trolling or cyber-bullying are NOT allowed and are grounds for account restriction or banishment. Harassment, stalking or predatory behavior will result in account suspension.
* The language of this forum is English. If you are not a native English speaker, do your best. We are glad to have you as a member and will be supportive and polite.
* Be mindful of yourself and others. This forum is not a democracy; it is privately owned and we make the rules. If rules are violated we retain the right at our discretion to remove, edit or delete posts and if necessary ban or remove members. Any abuse toward our staff may/will result in immediate suspension of your account. Complaints about moderator decisions may not be made in posts; instead send a private message to a moderator. If a moderator deletes or edits one of your posts and you disagree with the action, contact the moderator concerned. Do not repost deleted material.
* We take the "be nice" rule VERY seriously! We do not tolerate ANY rudeness.

My avatar was just a picture of my coral and was deleted as well!

Your avatar was removed due to it's very obvious sexual innuendos, as were several of your posts. While your "replacement avatar" may have been a photo of a coral, you and I both know exactly why it was also removed, since it ALSO was meant to be an obvious sexual innuendo. R2R, whether in the general forums or in the club forums, is a "Family Friendly" forum and the atmosphere should reflect this. Please feel free to review the User Agreement, which you agreed to abide by, when you joined. Reef 2 Reef - User Agreement

Please don't post it here if you wouldn't say it to your grandmother. Posts containing explicit, obscene or vulgar language, images or links to websites with adult content/images or punctuation marks designed to "trick" our obscenity filter will be removed. R2R prides itself in being a family friendly and work safe website and we ask that members keep it that way. Posting of topics containing situations or products that are not family and under age friendly is not permitted.

No matter the circumstances, we expect all of our members to abide by the User Agreement, which all of us agreed to, when we joined. Please see the above User Agreement quotes.

your not even an admin... wheres your superior?

Nor do I, or any staff member, answer to you, or your demands. We have a User Agreement to uphold. When that User Agreement is violated, we do what needs to be done, to enforce that User Agreement. You're welcome to also abide by that User Agreement or having your posting abilities removed. We've already been WAY more than patient with the current issues that we've been dealing with. You're approaching a line that dictates how staff members will handle your account. You are in complete control of your own destiny, on Reef2Reef, according to your own behavior.. Might be a good idea to refresh your understanding of Reef2Reef's User Agreement. For your convenience, I'll provide you with a link, Reef 2 Reef - User Agreement

I support your decisions.

If I do something questionable please PM me and I will happily post a correction, edit, or apologize. We need such rules to keep this forum a pleasant place for members, supporters, and sponsors. I enjoy seeing posts by sponsors and will continue to take advantage of their hospitality.

I left another forum because some people there got away with flaming new members with a different point of view. Being able to express different points of view is how we all learn and continue moving forward as a reefing community. We should always be willing to embrace different different ideas, no matter how we disagree with them.

Thank you for your rules and for enforcing them. If you don't it sets the stage to loose control. This forum is one of the most friendly and well controlled I have found.

If members can not follow the rules they can leave or be banned after a PM warning. When they receive a PM warning they should respond and not argue. They do not HAVE to be here, it is a privilege.

I have read through the deleted posts and it appears that you were definitely trying to get banned. If you are wronged by a business, then there are other ways out there to work through those issues. There are many sites that allow you to rate or review a business. Our forum is not a place to bash anyone or any business. I would hate to lose a forum member due to outrage against a business that is no longer even a sponsor of the club anymore. Please just stop and think about it.

Take care,
TechDiver

We're VERY happy to have your wonderful club here at R2R and all of your members. If any member disagrees with something or a policy please feel free to PM a mod or myself. Respect goes a long way and we would much rather hear your concerns privately and work them out together. It get's one sided when the rules of our forums are questioned publicly and aggressively. We're hobbyists just like all of you and while we're not perfect we do have a job to do and we do it to the best of our ability. I support and stand by the decisions that have been made recently. Also I have refunded the supporting member fees of those that chose to be banned. They submitted a paypal claim and I did not fight it but chose to just reimburse the fees. Thank you.

As far as I'm concerned the respectful, knowledgeable mod's have the right to do this. It's their job to make this a comfortable, neutral and family friendly site, if they find a problem with an avatar or something said it's their duty to uphold the agreements we all agree to when registering to this fine forum, especially since some people tend to forget what they agreed to. They're not babysitters, they shouldn't have to delete comments, avatars and arguments between members...it's our job as human beings to deliver respect to this forum and the members that make up this forum. Respect goes a long way and going political on this post doesn't show much of it. You cannot compare banning guns with a family friendly forum that's primarily here to educate, inform and help others. When we sign up we give the power to Rev and the mods to do as they please to make this a forum we all want to spend time on, respect the rules.

In one ear and out the other? Respect is important and you're showing a huge lack of it. Support the forum you spend time on, the forum that helps people and respects people, otherwise whats the point?
