It’s really nice to see so many Industry companies, big and small, support net training programs. These programs are vital to the existence of our industry and without the efforts of RVS Fishworld in the Philippines along with the thousands of dollars donated, it would be possible!

I’d like to recognize a few companies that have donated to this training program and commend them for their support!

Firstly I’d like to recognize Barnett Shutman from New York who has been living in the Philippines for decades now and given so much to spearhead these training efforts. Working from the front lines, Barnett has invested more money than we know so everyone can continue to trade in the Philippines. His efforts are to the benefit of all, and not always appreciated equally….and for sure not contributed equally. Thank you Barnett for continuing to fight for everyone and improve the lives of so many families that make their livings from the ocean, by training and donating equipment that keeps them safe.

From the Public sector, it’s awesome to see Andrew Sandler from his growing social media platform called Polo Reef, get involved on the industry side and support these grass root efforts. Thank you Andrew for being so passionate about the hobby and sharing so much with the community. It’s awesome to witness.

I’m going to post a list of all the supports but for now you can see for yourselves some of the activities and efforts being put into this training program happening now as we read this.

More to come.
