I had a 3", juvenile Atlantic blue tang, raised from a 1" specimen, that turned into a Holy terror about a month after I moved it into the new 360 gallon. I had read that these guys were supposed to be one of the least aggressive tangs.
Well, it bullied just about every single fish in the tank! Nothing was spared. No damage, just chasing and squaring off, but constant. I could see that the other fish were not happy, most hiding in the rock work, others avoiding the center of the tank, etc.. It had to go!
I was fortunate enough to catch this sly bugger yesterday morning in my fish trap after weeks of trying. It was quickly taken back to the fish store. When I got back home, the reef was already a completely different scene! ALL of the fish were out swimming, exploring, picking at the rocks, doing whatever it is they are supposed to do. The water column was filled with happy swimming fish! I think I heard a collective 'sigh' from them all! :)
The tank is so peaceful now! I was nice to have serenity back on the reef!
Anyone else have such an experience?

I had to remove a Red Stripe (Eibli) Angelfish, but it was the corals that benefitted from that. It had all corals with polyps closed up tight from nipping. Once it was gone, they all returned to full extension.
Glad your reef is peaceful again!
