Most the equipment will be from my other tank that I broke down
This will be a mixed reef with plenty of sps and here is my starter list:
-2 x Reefi Uno 2.1 with the discontinued Noopsyche t5 hybrid
Ignore the xr15's as they are being sold

return pump - not decided yet
skimmer - simplicity 240dc
heater - between the brs and inkbird or IM
flow - 2 gyre350 on a hydros wave maker
My control cabinet is built and ready but gonna change the dosing pumps

My rock is still outside but its about 90lbs or so
Sand- Still debating on what kind I want
I will post images as I get stuff but these are the early stages yet. If anyone has suggestion please let me know

Dreams of having something with no limits. It's no fun always having to limit what I want to 40 gallons.

So I got a killer deal on a 6month old nero 5 for 100$.
1. Do I buy another one and call it a day and have 2 on the 48in x 23in x21in tank?
2. dont buy another one and go with something else?

What were you thinking of getting instead? I've used neros and mp40s before... Just asked chat gpt to compare them and the result is pretty good, though the app control may be outdated info. I have an mp40 on each end of a 48 inch tank and then are more than enough flow imo. I only run them at 30% max

Flow Rate: The MP40 offers a higher maximum flow rate (4,500 GPH) compared to the Nero 5 (3,000 GPH).

Control Systems: Both have app-based controls, but the MP40 integrates with EcoTech's broader ecosystem, which can be a plus for users with other EcoTech products.

Mounting System: The MP40's external dry side and internal wet side design reduce heat transfer into the tank, while the Nero 5's all-in-tank design is more compact.

Price: The Nero 5 is generally more budget-friendly, making it a popular choice for hobbyists looking for high performance at a lower cost.

Yeah I have this nero 5, and I have 2 gyre 350 non cloud edition on a Hydros wave engine but I have soaked them so many times in citric acid you can no longer read the name on the pump, and they work but its what I had on my other tank.
Was just thinking a new route as I can get gyres cheap but I am ready for a change, the mp40 just way too expensive and I hate how far it sticks out on the sides.

Tank is on the stand but some questions?
PXL_20240725_024115656.RAW-01.MP.COVER.jpg
Not happy with this as they included the wrong type of valve or will this work?

Tank sits nice and flush to the back but the front is only flush when the doors close

You will want to use a gate valve so you can finely tune the water in overflow. Ball valves are great for on/off but not ideal for adjusting/fine-tuning water flow.

My waterbox hangs over the front just like that. The front panel is floating with 0 support but that's the intended design of these tanks. It freaked me out when I first saw it! As long as the tank is resting on foam, flush with the back/sides, and is level from front to back / side to side then you should be good to go!

The tank looks great btw! This is my first time seeing a Nyos.
