After a several days of readings like this; 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and rising nitrates, I’m gonna consider my cycle done, and I’m ready to add a small hardy fish soon, likely a Blue-Green Chromis…

As a reminder, I used a few types of bottled bacteria; Red Sea’s ReefMature, Dr. Tim’s One and Only, and Brightwell’s MicrobacterStart, plus Arag-Alive Fiji Pink live sand, then ghost fed some pellets and even added a bit of raw shrimp…

Added a small Blue Damselfish and a porcelain crab, love those guys better pics to follow eventually, but they look so tiny in the empty 125 gallon display tank…

Firing up the huge RedSea RSK900 Protein Skimmer tonight, lotsa bubbles…

Tank coming along this week, still have to build out the right side aquascaping, but seeing a lot of algae growth now…

I’ll be adding Chaetomorpha and some pods to the sump today to help with nutrient export and seeding for future food supply…

New ‘fuge with the Tunze light and chaeto… and I added pods from AlgaeBarn a couple days ago but don’t see anything visible yet…

Added an ever-popular Lawnmower Blenny this week there’s enough algae to keep him full for a while…

Setting up my Apex controller and I’m liking it so far! So many options and customization…

I had to recalibrate the temp probe down a full degree based on 6 other thermometers I used and were all in agreement, that seemed like a big adjustment but oh well.

And I understand the salinity and ORP probes need a few days to break in, I’ll probably recalibrate salinity again in a week or 2 to be sure.

Finally finished the other half of my aquascape, inspired by the Negative Space style and BRS’ video on it. I’m really happy with how it all turned out, an organic look and with lots of places low and high for future corals…

the left half is 44lbs and the right is 32lbs for 76lbs total, but lots of extra surface area than just stacking I think, and I’m also running some MarinePure blocks and spheres underneath too…

Transferred over my 12 year old Tomato Clown from my BioCube29 so I can turn that into a QT tank for future fish…

Excited, I just noticed the first spots of coralline growth (I think!) after almost a month of adding those ARC pink and purple helix bottles, just 1 of each about a week apart…
