Thanks for the recommendation! You’re spot on, it’s 8-9dkh at 35ppt after looking at their site. I will probably go with that.

Speaking of pods! I’m going to place an order with you soon to seed my tank.

Thank you! That’s a hard price to beat tbh.
I am looking for a salt with similar stats when mixed to 35ppt. I think I am going to try the Nyos Pure. It runs about $80 bucket.

The tank is coming along well! Parameters appear to have stabilized, and I'm able to maintain a nice level of phosphate + nitrate without a huge algae bloom bottoming them out.

Current parameters are:
pH: 8.3
Alk: 8 - got this pretty locked in with a new doser + All For Reef.
Ca: 410 ppm
Mg: 1250 ppm - consumption seems out of balance with All For Reef.
NO3: 10.5 ppm
PO4: 0.1 ppm

Currently not doing water changes, just feeding to adjust the level of nutrients present. I also reduced the level of skimming to allow for some nitrate to stick around.

I've really enjoyed getting things dialed in and dealing with parameters that may be out of bounds.

Next update will be much more fun with pictures lol.

New FTS (missing a few pieces I just got):

Starting to fill in with frags!

Bought a couple more torches, and a gold hammer:

Also added a really cool looking chalice:

Saw a cool little duncan frag for $15, figured I'd give it a shot as I've never had one. Its already growing like a weed, has 5 new heads forming at the base.

I don't have pictures yet, but I also added a bubble tip anemone, 2 plate corals, another acan, and different chalice.

Are you using any filters to get these shots?

I'm not using a physical filter, I just shoot in RAW and adjust the white balance in Lightroom to make it look closer to what I'm actually seeing in the tank.

Spoiler, I picked up a Goni lol! I was a little apprehensive after reading stories about them dying after 6 months, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

I have it placed in moderate light and medium flow, seems to be doing well so far. Really excited to watch it grow! :)

Looks like I have been running my system a little too clean and got Dinos...

All corals are irritated and the tank is UGLY!

Doesn't look like amphidium, so running UV moght help. I run UV when they show up, work on nutrients a bit, and dose Fiji Mud into the tank.

Good idea, thank you!

From a quick ID, I believe they are Ostreopsis, sesame shaped and one of them was doing the spinning around pivoted on a single point move lol. https://algaeid.com/identification/

Ostreopsis goes away fairly quickly with UV since they are free swimmers at night.

I find a diversity spike helps keep them in check, and of course keeping your nutrients from flatlining.
That's the plan! I never saw them fully bottom out, but I was close. Currently sitting at .1 phosphate and 10 nitrate. Going to bring that up to .15 and 15 respectively.
