Hey, I've been looking into getting a Humu trigger to see how it does in my mixed reef however I have heard that can be pretty risky. How is it working out for you? Have any tips?

No issues other than it did kill my Diamond Goby. But all the other fish in the tank it doesn’t bother. If anything I’m the only thing it messes with. It’s but be three times. Doesn’t break the skin but does hurt a bit. They are just real smart and curious and if you leave your arm in the tank too long it is going to come check you out.

Love the uncommon rare oddball fish I keep.

I’d assume my most rare is the Gold Heart Trigger that is an absolute stunner and likes to hang out with a school of soldier fish.

The weirdest is probably my new bird wrasse which literally makes a blanket out of the sand bed to sleep.

What other fish do you keep at the moment? My smallest fish right now would be clowns and halichoeres wrasses.

I seem to hover towards the “rarer and/or specialty” genus/species. For example, I couldn’t just have a Sailfin Tang, I had to pay more and get a Red Sea/Desjardini Sailfin.
My want list includes a Blue Dot Jawfish, not rare, just less available in LFS in my area and costs more usually than other Jawfish. I also would love a Flashing Tilefish $$$.

Other wants:
Walking Dendro
Dracula Goby $$

And, for an encore . . . not a fish, but I just bought this beauty yesterday for $100.

Does uncommon count if they’re on the rarer side in the hobby or a PITA to keep alive for many?
If so… Here’s just a few of my many uncommon fish I’ve yet to struggle with but everyone else seems to struggle with or they’re just uncommon and 3 digits.
