Has anyone ever put anything in their tank that they got themselves from the ocean? I’m on vacation so just something I was thinking of.

I have not, but I've thought about starting a tank especially for this after seeing some inspiration here on R2R. I just haven't thought it all the way through. What sort of things were you thinking of carrying home?

Nothing. I’m to new to this to try something like that. But I’ve heard of people doing that so I was just curious.

I'm all ears. this is my first saltwater tank so I'm still learning. I did post a thread through as to not take over LRO's post or feel free to message!
Free press for lro if you take it over. Plus that's how you win gift cards!
It would be irresponsible to not buy one at this point.

So I’m sure everyone’s dogs have a name. Just curious if anyone names their fish?
Dog is Roki. Angel fish are Athanasius, Elutherius. Hillary, and Policarp. Clownfish are Martin and Douglas (y'all should listen to the podcast Cabin Pressure with Benedict Cumberbatch and friends), tail spot blenny is Loki, green manderin is cho, sonar is our fire fish, the hawk fish is named Cyd Vicious.

Burning question: how does everyone have their corals in tank once acclimated and in a happy spot? Frag rack? Glue whole frag+plug to rock? Scrape/surgery coral off plug and glue?
Short answer, yes. I've drilled a fair number of good for frag plugs. Some are wedged in the sand, some of the plugs and glued. If it's light enough to knock over our move it gets a lot of glue.
