They seem to be a little more finicky than regular acan lords from my experience, they do like to encrust so make sure they are on a flatter surface and no vermitid snails or anything around it that could be irritating it

I can't answer that but I can say echinata acans are more aggressive so they need room or they will kill their neighboring coral.
