yup, that's why i haven't gotten any. The fascination favia keeps tempting me though. If you can isolate the favia to an island, it should be fine.
we have ours in a section that is around nothing else! I didn't realize when I got it that it was a meany lol

@Living Reef Orlando I totally asked earlier and it was probably answered but I never saw the answer since I was at our nieces bday party. Are there any platting corals for sale? Thanks!
Sorry!! Pagoda Cup and Grafted Cap. The chalices kinda do a weird plating thing, but they grow over where they are placed and then plate out a little. If you want something that will grow up and then out the grafted cap and pagoda cup will be your best bet.

Some favia like my reverse prism and dragon soul, the sweepers are very short. My JF yellow submarine on the other, those sweepers extend 2-3 inches. So it depends on the favia really. Placement can be managed strategically with your flow. Long sweepers i put on the ends of rocks, short sweepers anywhere.

I mean of course they can be... but so can chalice and acans, and a lot of other coral people have been buying the past 2 days
ya our acans have their own corner of the tank! the favia currently has its own area under a tunnel in the middle where no other corals are at all. We have the madman favia.

acan lords dont have long sweepers. favia can shoot out long sweepers and depending on flow, wreck near by corals. Chalice people usually put on sandbed so they are easily isolated

They can move around....they rarely stay on open sandbed and like to find a rock or the edge of your tank to anchor to. Easy to care for, can irritate nearby corals but nowhere as bad as RBTA or maxi mini.
