I have what looks like black growths on some of the rocks in my tank.. they are hard and grow on the corals as well.. is this something to worry about? Any idea what could cause it or how to get rid of it.. all levels are spot on.. nothing funky going on Atm.. you can’t see them at the bottom of the coral there’s 4 on it.. they appear more red colored when blue leds are off.. I just had to cancel my aquarium service.. on my own for a bit so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I looked up the Vermetidae worm.. I do have some of those but these kinda popped up a few weeks ago.. are multiplying.. they catch the frozen shrimp so seem to want to eat.. after the lights go off I can get better pics.

Hard for me to decipher but surely we can help others who may know what this is.

1. Does it move?
2. Is it solid or hollow? What happens if you break it (be careful!)?

They are hard to scrape off .. I have not seen them move but there’s more ever morning.. certain rocks have a bunch. Possibly the real live rocks.. they are hard to scrape off..

We had some home renovations done so there was a lot more natural sunlight in the room.. any chance that could cause weird things to grow.. sorry for so many questions
