I love this hobby because of the community and the main reason behind the hobby itself which is ocean life preservation. My family enjoys the hobby with me, and my son loves the tanks just as much as I did when I was 5.

I love this hobby because I love to see the growth of my corals and I love to watch the fish swim. It’s so relaxing!

I really tried... different lights, flow... checking parameters... idk ... beats me... I love the way they sway in the water...but, I never got that far

I have been in the hobby since I grew up in Clearwater, FL. I love the enthusiasm and the varied interests of the people in our hobby. You can always learn in this hobby and can use many disciplines such as chemistry, engineering, and physics to operate a reef tank. I consider my reef tank to be a gateway to an underwater world. What a great hobby that really is a passion.

I won’t be in the area but you saw why reefing is so great today…strangers helping strangers. It is a community who cares about each other, even when you don’t know them personally. They pick you up when you are down. We need more of this in our world today.

i put one under the lights and it grew like crazy--they say it prefers low light and the others are under low light and love it - move it around the tank i guess- if you try one again

What do you feed your fish? Do you feed or did you try to feed them ( the Goni's)? I have one and it's grown quite a bit, but I feed my fish frozen food twice a day and dry food twice a day. I also spot feed most of my corals once or twice a week.

Don’t know anybody that n this thread personally but in the 1 year that I’ve been in the hobby and watching from a distance, the people on LRO sale threads and Ann herself, are so sincere and genuine that it makes you happy to be part of it.

I’m fortunate enough to live in the Orlando area and visit every couple of weeks. Their in-store employees are great as well!

Just the class with which she handles these sales and this community and the accessability and advice via emails…nothing compares with Ann and LRO!
