Maybe coral species spotlights on placement, care and water parameters. Maybe also vids on how to manage specific parameters/ levels of nutrients depending on coral species or the tank types like SPS, mixed or softies or lps tanks. Id like to see videos on how to properly take care of different tanks like Sps dom or mixed or lps and stuff like that.

Would love to see something on how to identify SPS issues and causes for each issue. Burning tips, STN bottom up, what AEFW looks like in tank, and common things to test for in each scenario.

Even a breakdown of identification of common species, tenius, millepora, spathula, etc.
This would be awesome video series for people that are newbies or trying to get started in the SPS game

I like review videos and informational videos on equipment. I really like learning about anything reef related. I try to keep my knowledge up on tank automation.

I’m super excited about this new series! It’s going to be a blast! We need all of your help with ideas, input and knowledge!

Rev Talks: Where the latest reefing topic is the star of the show!

I don’t know just throwing that name idea out there...ha!
I would love to hear y'all talk about Going from acrylic to a glass aquarium the pro's and cons. I have a 120 acrylic and no matter how careful I am it still scratches my acrylic.

"So you think you want a Reef Tank" series. Common misconceptions: Tap Water VS RO Vs RO/DI what is the difference, What Test Kits do I need and what are good brands? A group of things a beginner is likely to not know. "Do hydrometers really work" Things like that.

Didn't read all the posts. Just too many. How about the first video just being a welcome. Tell prospective members what we're about and what we have to offer. Introduce some of the staff and/or Reef Squad. Maybe go over how to navigate the site. If you could place that sort of video where surfers can easily find it, it would help them understand what we do.

it would be interesting to discuss why people say you should never use anything but rodi water to run your reef because you dont know whats in tap water and will end up with with possibly too much phosphate which will make you get an algae outbreak but we use rodi water and still end up with an algae outbreak lol

I would like to see quarantine procedures -starting with a basic quarantine tank set up to treatment steps utilizing all the meds for each known disease and parasites many of us face or at least the big hitters. This would be golden for the visual learners.

@revhtree should do a live video interview with Brian " @NY_Caveman " and maybe try to run a live feed from Brians' desktop view, and let him browse the new site showing his tips and tricks on navigation. (Once he is ready, ya'll screwed him up bad with the update! Ha)

The thread is great, and I'm sure the new one will be most excellent. But to actually see someone else go through the motions with explanaitions, that would be awesome sawwwz.

for beginners like myself I would like to see a timeline video of the stages of advancing your tank. From a checklist of things you would need to start. Then a list of when and what to start dosing. Are there tips and tricks that would help individuals who don’t know the ins and outs of tank parameters?

This idea would be challenging and take some cooperation. There's one reason why we're all in this hobby and that's the livestock, whether that's fish, inverts, corals, whatever. At this end of the line we don't get to see where they came from or how we got them. Wouldn't it be amazing to see the livestock in its native habitat before and as the farmer catches it? Then follow the livestock on its journey step by step all the way to our home?

Our sources of livestock gathering are becoming limited. Of course those of us who dive have seen reefs, but not all of us and not everywhere. Conversations around these locations, what the farmers do to collect the livestock, how they're handled, packaged and shipped. What countries are doing to preserve and save their reefs from environmental damage for sustainability and tourism all could be discussed. On site visits to these locations with video feeds to R2R sharing where they are and what it's like there could be another aspect.

How about a good solid 10 minutes of someone’s pufferfish chasing a laser light around ;Smuggrin
No really an occasional segment on the funner less intense parts of the hobby would be a great break from the norm. The things we enjoy but don’t really get talked about much.

I'd like to see more detailed discussions on R2R about how to be an expert on such topics are SPS care, Complex Sump Setups, backup Electric for tanks, how to feed properly when on vacation.
