This is a great idea!!
I would like to see you talk about setting up a small reef tank as where not to scare newbies
away from even starting a reef tank. Make it simple (no big dictionary words), not everyone are as intelligent as you folks are. You'll get more people wanting to try the hobby and that will add to your bottom line. I know, because I'm one of those people always having to look in the dictionary to find out what people are talking about. If you use big words explain what you are talking about.

Thanks...….Mark

Subject ideas:

  1. QT best practices and setups.
  2. Design principles behind Aquascape.
  3. How to take pictures of your tank with your cellphones or non $5000 rigs.
  4. Basic tank emergency survival kit. (Ratchet strap, Flex-Tape, sledgehammer, jumper cables)
  5. How to tame a Raccoon Butterflyfish from not eating my coral...yelling bad fish does not work.

I’d have to say the most valuable videos would be focusing on the livestock inside our reefs. Basically a “deep dive” into the basic requirements, characteristics, and trends for types of corals, fish, and inverts.

It’s easy to Google the information and see a “profile” but I’m not a reader, so seeing visual representation of what’s being discussed is more valuable to me.

Hey Reef2Reefers!! So we've been kicking around the idea of starting a video series where we discuss different reef topics hosted by Rev himself!

We've got some really cool ideas already brewing on this. This could be anything from interviews with industry experts, topic discussions, the SKY'S THE LIMIT! ...who knows...maybe we'll even see Rev's 400g tank in there at some point (He has a build thread he sometimes visits...) or even Leroy, the R2R mascot!

...but we're wondering...

What are some things you guys would like to see us talk about? Give us some topic ideas!

And, what should we call it?

Less acronyms...

Lights, Light settings for specific species. Example AI Prime HD settings for SPS tanks.

Great idea and there are so many directions you could take on this.

I think the usual "Beginner" videos are a must since those can be very helpful to those just starting thier journey into Reefering. But i also think some more advanced topics like reef Chemistry, Low nutrient vs High Nutrient tanks, High Flow vs Low Flow, and High Light vs Lower light vs LED VS t5s and so on.

Then use the #1 resource here on R2Rm, which is the user base and tie all that back to the forum by featuring successful (or even unsuccessful) user tanks in these videos that fit into he subject at hand.

I'd like to see interviews with coral vendors and behind the scenes tours of the facilities.
Maybe show how a order is received from a customer ( on the vendors computer ) and how they go about bagging and shipping out.
Show time frames, when the crew starts working and lights out at the end of the day.
A day in the life of a coral/fish vendor.

I like this idea too. As a hobbyist it's always fun to see how stuff is made, so to speak. :)

I would love to see a small series on setting up a nano tank, preferably on a budget. I feel like most videos I see their idea of “budget” nano tank is still extremely high.

Some ideas I'd love to see:
-Starting a tank from scratch, cycling, adding sand, rock etc
- Tank wars - like manufacturer set up vs set up
- Lighting advice/info for the noob

Would love to see something on how to identify SPS issues and causes for each issue. Burning tips, STN bottom up, what AEFW looks like in tank, and common things to test for in each scenario.

Even a breakdown of identification of common species, tenius, millepora, spathula, etc.
