SPS and LPS coral are two coral types that many of us have always loved. Some people want their tanks to be filled with Acros, while others want nothing to do with SPS and want only LPS in their tanks. So I want to see which one you prefer in your tank, LPS or SPS, and let's see those pictures of your colonies as well!

id say its more on who has the better camera lense filter will win~

Some SPS with good filters are like jaw dropping.
Then there are the ultra premium rainbow hammers, or the banana torches...

Add proper filter, you can even make that yellow banana orange!

Having to pick reminds me of a question about Michael Jackson,

"How does Michael Jackson pick his nose?"

From a catalogue.

I actually turn down the saturation on my photos. The colors are really that vivid in person.

Ooooff, that's a real tough one. But I guess I'm going to lean towards LPS.

My pride and joy was a Wall Hammer i got in 2011, that grew to formidable size. Unfortunately around 2019 it's health declined as its skeleton started getting perforated by fulgida worms boring in and out of it, and it subsequently died.

This was how big it was during its first year.

Of course it eventually ended up being re-housed as it grew, and spent its last years in a 25g tank. These photos were from when it was at it's peak.

I wish I had the skeleton intact, but I kept cuting it apart in a desperate, but futile, attempt to save it. The worms bored through my grand frogspawn colony too (as seen in the above pictures), and about a year later that colony suffered a complete structural collapse, and fractured into a dozen pieces, most of which i still have today.

My other pride and joy is my old veteran favia, which has been with me almost as long as I've beein in the hobby, since 05. (Lower left).

It suffered a mishap back in 2010-2011, when the radiator in my aquarium room malfunctioned, heating up the room and water to over 50 degrees celsius. I lost all my montis, and the brain bleached and died back heavily. (Bottom right of the picture)

But it survived and over time, made a spectacular comeback.

It just recently outgrew its place in my 15G tank, and now resides more or less where my Wall Hammer did, in the 25G. You can clearly see the signs of its unfortunate past on the base there, and how it has thrived since recovering, resulting in a funny little mushroom shape. :)

That Acro is so fuzzy, I think you need to change your vote
Lol! I guess I kinda get why some don’t like sps if the polyps don’t come out. It would be pretty flat then. I like to put the Flipper lens up and look at them swaying in the breeze.

I'm gonna start marketing SPS to the LPS crowd as Micro LPS
